The cowboy quartet known as Riders in the Sky began in 1977 and its feel-good, family friendly brand of Western music earned the band many accolades and honors over the last five decades, including playing on the soundtrack for Toy Story 2. In 2007, Riders in the Sky played Ponca City in celebration of a famed movie cowboy's centennial birthday.
