Enjoy aquatic events in a whole new light at RIVERSPORT NightWater. A pass gets you access to Riversport OKC's rafting, tubing, and surfing experiences after dark. Along with all the water fun, there's also live music by some of OKC's best local bands and nightly specials served up at Big Water Grill. With the summer temperatures climbing, this is a great way to cool down. Or at least try.

Yukon's Concerts in the Park gives you the chance to enjoy live music all summer long! Each Thursday evening, local and regional bands spanning all genres take to the Chisholm Trail Park to put on free outdoor concerts. This week, the OKC Symphonic Band fills the park with orchestral music as the sun begins to set. Bring a lawn chair and pack a picnic or enjoy treats from local food trucks. Sunscreen and bug spray are probably a good idea, too.

Even if you've never threaded a sewing machine, the Edmond Quilt Festival is worth checking out. This year, the festival's theme is Quilting: An American Legacy in honor of America's 250th anniversary. More than one hundred and fifty quilts will be on display at Oklahoma Christian University's Gaylord University Center, including one that's up for a raffle, along with other prizes. View new and antique quilts, browse booths at the artisan market, and maybe leave inspired to start a project of your own.

Step back in time at History Alive! on the Cherokee Strip. The historic Humphrey Heritage Village comes alive with reenactors, demonstrations, and interactive experience to let you really experience history. You'll get to learn about different skills and trades of the time and even file your own land claim in the land office. It's the perfect event for a history buff, and history really repeats itself, because you can experience it on the first and third Saturday of each month.

Some summer traditions never go out of style, and the Ottawa County Free Fair has been proving that for more than a hundred years. The fair returns to Miami with a week of carnival rides, livestock shows, rodeo action and all the fried fair food your heart desires. Browse arts and crafts vendors, cheer on competitors in the horse show, or spend the evening riding the Ferris wheel. Whether you come for the blue-ribbon livestock or the giant turkey legs, it's hard to leave a county fair empty-handed. Or hungry.
