Holiday tradition meets fresh energy with RACE Dance Collective's Hip Hop Nutcracker—a bold and vibrant reimagining of the holiday classic. Taking over the stage at Oklahoma City Community College’s Visual & Performing Arts Center, this show blends hip-hop flair and community spirit with dance from local youth and pros alike. The storyline follows Carlos on a journey through the Lands of Possibilities and Hidden Treasures, where music, movement, and urban beats bring fresh life to The Nutcracker. With a cast drawn from OKC public-school dance programs and the RACE company, it’s as much a celebration of local talent and culture as it is a holiday showcase.
December 12-14. Tickets, $33-$38.

Holiday lights meet adorable animals and good old-fashioned community spirit during the Christmas Critters event at Enid’s The One holiday celebration. Families can visit reindeer, a camel named Clarice, more critters from A2Z Petting Zoo, and adoptable pets from Adopt-a-Pet Enid. There will also be face painting, crafts, holiday treats, and special appearances by Paw Patrol characters. For a touch of tradition, a live nativity will be presented near the big tree in the Stride lot, with showings scheduled at 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Perfect for little ones, pet lovers, or anyone wanting a cozy, festive outing.

Santa is busy this time of year, but if there is one sure way to get him to attend your event, it is by making sure plenty of sweets are there. That’s why the Tulsa Zoo came up with the brilliant idea of Sweets with Santa, which will be held Saturday in the Rajan’s restaurant, located inside the zoo. Not only will those who attend be able to meet the North Pole’s most famous sweet tooth and grab a photo, but also enjoy storytimes, animal chats, and, naturally, all kinds of festive holidays desserts and treats. Zoo admission is required in addition to event tickets.
December 14. Tickets, $5-$10 (plus regular Tulsa Zoo admission). Children one and under, free. tulsazoo.org
