A Pink Paradise

Located in a small strip in Oklahoma City, the outside of this bookstore appears to be unassuming. You could almost miss the front, except the porch goose sitting watch while dressed in its whimsical costume catches your eye and welcomes you to peer inside. There, you see the pink walls, the white shelves filled with books, and the soda bar.
It’s the indie, little pink bookstore Lost & Bound, and it is a book girly’s personal paradise.
Many of the books available are fantasy and romance, but there are several thrillers waiting to be snatched off the shelves as well. And tucked among the books are home goods such as book-themed candles, pencil cases, highlighters, tumbler cups, and more. Not to be forgotten either is the handmade jewelry crafted by a local artist.

In case you get thirsty while perusing for your next read, the bookstore has you covered. All you need to do is purchase your favorite soda or lemonade, and then take it over to the soda bar. There’s a wide variety of syrup flavors available along with fresh fruit and creamer to top it off. And if you’re interested in adding some extra flare to your drink, you can ask at the counter for edible glitter to be added in. While there are recipes posted on the wall to help patrons choose what to sip on, the soda bar is fully customizable.

One of the best parts of visiting Lost & Bound is taking advantage of their custom soda bar, which allows guests to mix and match flavor syrups, fresh fruit, and even add edible glitter. Photo courtesy Lost & Bound
And if the books and drinks aren’t enough to entice you to visit, Lost & Bound is a place of community. The store hosts many events each month, such as book clubs, author signings, craft nights, and movie screenings. All of which can be found on their website’s events page or by keeping up with the Lost and Bound Books Facebook page.
