Sure, everyone in the ’60s remembers when Dylan went electric, but what about when Oklahoma did the same? Established in 1871, the first city in Oklahoma to get electricity was initially named Downingville, but was renamed to honor a sculptor who created the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. These days it’s less known for statues or electricity and more for having one of the world’s largest fast food restaurants.
