The name of this community might lead you to think of livestock, but this central Oklahoma city was best known for bountiful agriculture in the early 1900s, so much so that it was sometimes called the Garden of Eden or “Down in Egypt.” Most of the orchards are gone, replaced with neighborhoods, and the city is now known more for its proximity to an FAA facility.
