Shimmering Celebration

Since 1995, Woodward has brought visitors from far and wide to Crystal Beach Park for the two-million-lights-strong Crystal Christmas. While the lights stay up through the end of the year, it all kicks off on Opening Night with fireworks, food trucks, and that most classic of holiday pastimes—axe throwing. There's also a petting zoo, wagon rides, and a live performance from Debbie Harrington and the Woodward Boomer Band. November 20. Admission, free. eventcreate.com/e/crystalchristmaswoodward

Rad

Pedal power will be at maximum in Tulsa during the five-day USA BMX Grand National Pro Series Final at the SageNet Center. Watch riders of every age group compete in the "Greatest Race on Earth" with national titles and bragging rights on the line. See these two-wheeled terrors scorch around the track and overcome obstacles to see which cyclists reign supreme. November 23-27. Tickets, $10. usabmx.com

That's Elf Territory

Guthrie is many things—Oklahoma's first capital, home of one of the finest coffee roasters in the state, and the place with all the fancy old buildings. But when the weather turns chilly, the city becomes ground zero for historical holiday fun during A Territorial Christmas Celebration. On Opening Day, the streets of downtown will be awash with games, activities, food, drink, and lots of Christmas cheer. Stick around for the lighted Christmas parade to get everyone in the seasonal spirit. November 26. Admission, free. guthriesterritorialchristmas.com

Don't Fall In

Temperatures are dropping even as the holiday spirit soars through the state, so anyone attending the Lighted Boat Parade on Lake Eufaula should come dressed for warmth and plan to stay out of the chilly waters below. There are plenty of prime viewing locations, but wherever folks gather, they'll be mesmerized by the bright holiday lights and given a chance to vote on their favorite floating display. November 26. Keep the Change

Remember the '90s? Everyone was in a grunge band, nobody understood what the Internet was, and audiences around the globe delighted in the story of a boy who was left at home during Christmas to fight off burglars with a homemade obstacle course. Relive at least a little of that decade when the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents: Home Alone in Concert at the Civic Center Music Hall. Watch Kevin fight to keep his home safe from the Wet Bandits while some of Oklahoma's most-talented musicians perform the John Williams score live. November 26. Tickets, $27-$94. https://www.okcciviccenter.com/event-calendar/event-detail/2022/11/26/default-calendar/home-alone
