Celebrate the enduring legacy of one of America’s greatest songwriters at the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in his hometown of Okemah. Held each year near Guthrie’s birthday, the festival brings together acclaimed folk, Americana, blues, and singer-songwriter performers for several days of music, storytelling, and community. Concerts take place across multiple venues, including the historic Crystal Theatre and the outdoor Pastures of Plenty stage, alongside educational programs and special events honoring Guthrie’s life and influence

Celebrate all things corvid at the Crow Party, a delightfully quirky gathering for crow enthusiasts at the Tulsa City-County Library in Bixby. Consider this America’s birthday afterparty. Celebrate America’s semiquincentennial during the Guthrie Independence Day celebration marking the nation’s 250th year of independence. The event in their historic downtown brings a classic small-town Fourth of July atmosphere to the heart of Oklahoma’s territorial capital, complete with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and a community gathering built around honoring this special occasion. Expect a patriotic evening capped off with a fireworks display lighting up the Guthrie skyline as part of the nationwide OK250 commemoration.

Did you know July is National Parks & Recreation Month? Well, now you do! And the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Ardmore knows exactly how to celebrate. Head to the Ardmore Community Water Park for the Recreation Celebration and party accordingly. In addition to all the great and cool amenities at the water park, there will be numerous games and activities that make sure recreation is done right. Treats and door prizes will also make this a memorable summer celebration

Part of the annual SHARKLAHOMA celebration, Sharks in the Park brings a full evening of family fun to Jenks in partnership with the Oklahoma Aquarium and the Jenks Chamber of Commerce. The event transforms the area outside the Aquarium into a lively community hangout with a mix of vendors, food, and hands-on activities designed for all ages. Guests can expect interactive attractions including a splash zone and foam party, along with other engaging experiences that keep the energy high throughout the evening. As night falls, the celebration wraps with a dramatic drone show lighting up the sky over the aquarium.
