Last Call for Ice

It’s your last chance to hit the rink this winter! If you’ve been thinking, “I should really go ice skating this winter,” the time is now—the Devon Ice Rink in Oklahoma City’s Myriad Botanical Gardens is open until February 2. Whether you’re a pro skater showing off on 5,500 square feet of real ice or you’re just there for the hot cocoa and winter vibes while you’re holding onto the edge for dear life (...oh maybe that’s just me) this rink has something for everyone.
Through Feb 2. Tickets $9-14 myriadgardens.org

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

It’s like the Olympics for chocolate lovers! The Yukon Chocolate Festival returns on February 1 from 1–3 p.m. at the Dale Robertson Center. With more than twenty chocolate booths, a silent auction, and awards for the best-tasting treats and booth decor, it’s a sweet event you won’t want to miss. Sample decadent creations, vote for your favorites, and grab a to-go box (because let’s face it, we’d all want to go back for seconds). Proceeds benefit Yukon Parks and Recreation and the Ladies Library Club, making every bite all the sweeter. And don’t worry, we won’t tell your dentist.
February 1. Tickets, $10-15 yukonok.gov

Take the Plunge

Looking for a way to break the ice? Head to Medicine Park on February 1 for the Polar Bear Plunge. This quirky cobblestone town in the Wichita Mountains is serving up some freezing fun, with brave souls diving into Bath Lake and spectators just there to watch the madness unfold. Festivities kick off at 10 a.m. at the Park Tavern, with the plunge parade at 1:45 p.m. and the big dive at 2 p.m. Costumes are highly encouraged, so go ahead, get weird. Stick around for live music, sweet treats, and good vibes. Just don’t forget your towel . . . (it is still February after all).
