Everybody loves puppets, and children—and adults who grew up without a caring and present parental figure in their lives—love Bluey, so OKC Broadway Present: Bluey’s Big Play is an ace for the whole family. Even if that family happens to consist of one adult—the kind little family of Australian shepherds would never judge. They can’t see from the Oklahoma City Civic Center stage anyway.

If your Oklahoma meter is low, the Pawnee County Free Fair is sure to recharge it. What better way to reaffirm your status than with views of some of the most beautiful chickens, goats, pigs, horses, and more you’ve ever laid eyes on courtesy of local 4H youths? The Pawnee County Fairgrounds also will host plenty of artisans, so visitors can grab a jar of pickled okra, a pair of alpaca fleece socks, or hundreds of other homemade items to remember their experience.

Imagine 1,500 pocket ponies competing in ten tests of strength of agility. A whole herd of shrimpy stallions trying to be the best hunter, jumper, charioteer, or country pleasure driver they can be. This isn’t just any equine enthusiast’s fantasy: It’s the American Miniature Horse Registry National Show at Tulsa’s Expo Square.

It’s hard work and sacrifice living in an Amish paradise, so help support the local community and take home a gorgeous handmade quilt in the process. The Amish School Auction, Crafts & Antique Show at the Raymond Miller Home in Clarita attracts about ten thousand people each year. It starts with a breakfast, then more than two hundred booths showcase a variety of foods, crafts, farm equipment, and plenty more. Oh, but don’t believe everything Weird Al tells you: These quilts are for charity and shall not be sold at a discount price.

It’s been going strong for more than a century—123 years to be exact—and the Boley Rodeo shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Each September, the historically all-black town hosts an annual shindig featuring a car show, parade, and plenty of food trucks in addition to the main attraction. But of course it’s the superhumans who ride bareback, wrestle steer, bust mutton, and accomplish other incredible feats of skill and strength that bring in the biggest crowds year after year.
