Each week, Oklahoma Today staffers comb through their calendars to find a handful of great events happening across the state. Get out! See Oklahoma! And be sure to let us know what you find, either here or on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @oklahomatoday.

Great Escape

Get the family and put your brains to the test at Sam Noble Museum’s Spring Break Escape. The weeklong event features new daily activities for all ages, like daily story time sessions for little explorers and crafting sessions and games for older visitors. Don’t miss the opportunity to “Meet a Scientist" and learn all about their work behind the scenes. The event is included with regular admission. So, if you want a break from the puzzles, you can explore the museum’s fascinating exhibits, like the popular Hall of Ancient Life and its amazing dinosaur skeletons.
**March 16-20. Children admission, $7. Adult admission, $12.

History Hunt

Get your detective hat and prepare to travel through time at the Cherokee History Scavenger Hunt. Visit six museums to search for clues and uncover stories about Cherokee people, places, and traditions. The hunt ends at the Cherokee National History Museum, but you can pick your own adventure and start at any of the participating museums. If you’ve got what it takes to complete the hunt, you’ll even earn the title of Cherokee History Hunter and claim a prize.
**March 17-21 Admission, free for all museums.

Sister Act

Corn, beans, and squash sure make for a delicious stew. And together, they make up the “three sisters," a traditional planting method used by many Indigenous cultures. Learn all about it at one of the Chickasaw Cultural Center’s biggest events of the year: Three Sisters Celebration. You can see the planting method in person, participate in cultural activities, and celebrate the emergence of spring. That’s all while enjoying a day at one of Oklahoma’s most beautiful cultural centers.
**March 17-21. Admission, free.

Lucky Gardens

Go green, and get ready to ShamROCK the Gardens at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. This annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration features plenty of festive live performers, food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the gardens. It promises a toe-tapping good time for the whole family, with performances from McTeggard Irish Dancers of Oklahoma Association, Oklahoma Fire Pipes & Drums, and many more. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the performances and don’t leave your green at home.

Huzzah!

Hear ye, hear ye! The Guthrie Renaissance and Fantasy Festival returns with not one but two weekends full of knights, jesters, and turkey legs. Step back in time into an eighty-acre enchanted village and witness sword fighting, jousting matches, and the state’s largest trebuchet in action. Don’t miss out on exploring the artisan market full of unique merchants. Each moment is designed to transport you into a living fairytale. Of course, costumes are encouraged, so dust off your cloaks and crowns for all the medieval merriment.
**March 21-22 & 28-29. Single day admission, $14.25.
