You’ve seen organic tomatoes and organic bananas and organic grapes, but what about Organic Acts? Long before we started taking pesticides out of the food supply, the United States Congress used Organic Acts to define territories in anticipation of making them new states. Not a huge surprise then that Oklahoma had its own Organic Act in 1890 that defined both Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory and paved the way for statehood.
