Inflation sure is something, especially historically. For instance, in January of 1925, Governor Martin E. Trapp gave a State of the State address in which he suggested forming a special policing unit to go after outlaws. The Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation was created with a whopping $78,000. That amount is nothing to sneeze at today, but with inflation, that money would be worth nearly $1.3 million.
What is the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation called today?
