Fair Weather

The inside events may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the Woodward County Fair is. The annual three-day event will still offer its livestock show with poultry and horses, followed by a barn quilt workshop and cornhole tournament. It’s fun for the whole farm-ily. **August. 26-29. “Country” Music

Drive-in movies came back in a big way during the pandemic, so Enid’s Chisholm Trail Expo Center decided to apply the model to music, as well. The center is hosting a drive-in concert series, including an upcoming show from Australian Christian pop duo for King & Country, allowing fans to enjoy a live concert from the comfort of a parked car. Tickets are per vehicle—five people max—and includes a spot to park the vehicle and an area next to the vehicle for spreading out a blanket or setting up chairs to watch the show. Night at the Park

Oklahoma City’s Scissortail Park returns with its second monthly Night Market, including shopping, bar service, food trucks, music and social distancing. Enjoy a night of browsing and buying from Oklahoma vendors along the park’s 860-foot lit walkway. Masks are required for vendors, park staff and volunteers, and encouraged for shoppers. Hold On

To paraphrase Will Smith, welcome to Rodeo Miami—but pronounced differently. Miami’s annual two-day rodeo returns with traditional events like bronc riding and calf roping, as well as vendors, kids activities, and the Rodeo Miami Queen, Teen and Sweetheart competitions. The event will also host a Pink Night fundraiser for community members battling cancer, with participants encouraged to wear pink on Saturday. **August 28. Admission, $12-$20. Crawl On In

Looking for an exotic reptile or pet? Then the extremely conveniently namedOklahoma City Reptile and Exotic Pet Show might be for you. Head over to Shawnee’s Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center for an event offering thousands of reptiles, amphibians, inverts, feeders, small animals, supplies, and more for purchase from the top vendors in the country.
