Skiatook is turning up the volume for the Tallgrass Music Festival, a three-day celebration of all things bluegrass. The festival starts with a free Thursday night kickoff that includes an introduction to line dancing. Then, you’re in for two days of live music, vendors, and activities for the kids. You’re encouraged to stay and camp while taking in the sounds of traditional bluegrass.

October 1-3. Admission, $10 per vehicle on Friday and Saturday. Camping, $12 per night.

The Tulsa State Fair kicks off this Thursday with plenty to do for the whole family. It’s eleven days of carnival rides, concerts, livestock, Disney on Ice, rodeos, and all the fair food you can eat. You can watch cowboys compete in the PRCA Rodeo, watch Disney characters take to the ice, or make your way through the grounds and find your favorite fried food.

Route 66 is known for road trips, but this weekend it's giving you another reason to make the drive. Over the course of four days, eleven cities from Edmond to Sapulpa will host a variety of live music for Sounds on 66. It’s a road trip and a music festival rolled into one! You can catch Oklahoma musicians while exploring historic towns and roadside stops along the way. Just pick a direction and start cruising.

The Comanche Nation Fair returns to Lawton for its thirty-third year, bringing a weekend of music, culture, food, and plenty of competition. The fair is jam-packed with things to do and observe like a powwow, rodeo, live, Native arts and crafts, carnival, and much more. This year's fair also marks a milestone as the Comanche Nation prepares to crown its hundredth Comanche Nation Princess.

The Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival will take over Downtown Purcell along its historic Main Street for a full day of live music performances. This year’s lineup features TJ Todd Band, Brandon Butler Band, Gary Gibson Band, Logan Mac, and headliner Little Texas. It’s a day of live music, food, shopping, and community fun. If you want to make a day of it, bring a lawn chair and find a good spot to enjoy the music!
