Terry Avey joined the Oklahoma Today staff in September 2011. As circulation assistant, she fulfills one of the magazine’s most important missions: serving subscribers. Often, Terry is the person on the other end of the phone when they call to start or renew subscriptions, give gift subscriptions, or have questions. 

A longtime Guthrie resident, Terry has a bachelor’s degree in gerontology from Southern Nazarene University and an associate’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma City Community College. She and her husband, Mike, married thirty-three years, have three grown children, three adopted children, and two grandchildren. Her youngest child is four years old and her oldest twenty-nine. 

In her spare time, Terry enjoys sewing, gardening, and being creative and is a volunteer for Guthrie Head Start.
