Daniel Yates is as close to a native Oklahoman as you can get without actually being one. Born to an Oklahoman at a Naval Air Station in Maryland, Daniel returned to Oklahoma shortly after his birth. Raised in Altus and a Stillwater resident since 1986, he has been in sales and marketing for more than seventeen years and has worked for multimillion-dollar companies in the Stillwater area. He joined the Oklahoma Today staff as an advertising account executive in October 2011, and his sales territory includes, generally speaking, the western half of the state. 

Daniel is a self-professed master of trivia and a theater junkie. He has performed with several theater companies and directed local productions. Daniel stays busy in Stillwater with his four children and wife Jennifer, all of whom keep him on his toes.
