"Working for Oklahoma
Today is one of the best things in my life. I've met the most
interesting people and participated in the most wonderful events. I've
never worked so hard-or had so much fun! We're like family here, and I
wouldn't trade my job for anything."
Colleen joined the staff of Oklahoma Today as an intern in the spring of 1997. She became the production manager the following year. As production manager, Colleen serves as the hub of the wheel. Nothing is produced or printed without her involvement.
Colleen graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1997, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism Advertising.
Born a "military brat" in Tacoma, Washington, Colleen lived in Germany and Las Vegas prior to moving to Oklahoma. She graduated from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, where she served as editor in chief of the school newspaper.
She was recently a judge for the Florida Magazine Association and is co-chair for the 2008 Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists awards.
Colleen and her husband, John, have three children: Ashley, Jason and Ian.
