Oklahoma
Today Named Best Magazine
OKLAHOMA CITY
, Feb. 22, 2010 — Oklahoma
Today magazine won a total of thirteen awards at the annual Society
of Professional Journalists award banquet, held at Rocky’s
Bricktown
Event
Center
on Saturday night.
In addition to
being named the Best Magazine in
Oklahoma, the publication received first place awards in feature
writing, profile writing, general photography, page design, cover, and
reporting portfolio. Senior editor Steffie Corcoran claimed three of
those first place awards (feature writing, profile writing, and
reporting profile).
Oklahoma
Today
contributors Bill Wallace, Kent Franks, Mark Nault, Clint Stone, Tom
Lindley, and Brooke Adcox were also honored for their work in the pages
of the magazine.
All awards
were judged by SPJ chapters in other states.
